Kiwi casino gamers step up to help out with wildfire crisis in Australia

When we read about people playing NZ casinos, we often get to hear the bad side of it. That the casino industry has problems; that it has no limits as to how far it will go to get new players. From offering free pokies to ‘get you hooked’ to casino slots of every theme going, it’s an industry constantly under attack. However, it’s fair to say, in New Zealand and in other parts of the world, casino gamers are stepping up to the plate.

The long-term wildfire issue that has become a massive problem in Australia shows little signs of stopping anytime soon. The vicious problem keeps growing, and we’ve now seen a positive reaction come from various online casinos NZ players can get access to.

Several big names in the world, from celebrities like Kylie Jenner to musicians like Kylie Minogue, have put a lot of money into trying to help raise a fund to help people. One example of a casino getting involved, though, came from the Crown Resorts Foundation and their partnership with casino mastermind James Packer. The Packer Family Foundation donated around $1m, while the Crown Resorts Foundation has teamed up with Packer and co. to put in around $4m.

Many other companies are getting involved in trying to do more to help the crisis, as well. From big names in virtual sports and casino gaming to video gaming, we’re seeing lots of people pool in to help out here. It’s just another sign of the courage, kindness, and fairness that underpins much of NZ and worldwide casino gaming – at least from the players.
