British Gaming Witnesses Drop-Off in 2018-19

In what might come as no surprise to regular viewers of online casino gaming, the online industry in the UK has been rocked by poor results. The 2018-19 numbers sow that the UK online gambling industry, and the industry as a whole, suffered a decline. Despite being just a 0.3% year-on-year drop-off, it’s still a drop-off. In an industry that has enjoyed almost consistent and persistent upgrades and improvements in their profit shares, this should be a concern for the many.

It’s actually seen their whole revenue across the industry drop quite a fair bit. Indeed, up to the 31st March of 2019, it was expected that the remote gambling industry had lost as much as 0.6% of its revenue. This means that many new casino sites are arguably looking to avoid getting started in a stagnant UK industry.

With so much calls for change at government level, there has been a lot of uncertainty about what the future holds for online casino gaming in the UK. One thing is for sure, though; the figures are not looking good. The 2018-19 season seems to have shown a big drop off in revenue across the board.

While it might not affect some of the biggest casino slots in the UK, it might slow down the growth of new companies looking to get started. Gamer, though, might benefit from increased offers and promotions in a bid to entice you back.
